Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World S01

The story starts with Nick, an experienced adventurer whose group is led by his mentor, Argos, who has a fatherly figure for him. After completing their last mission, Nick discovers that some of the money has gone missing and realizes that one of the group members is responsible. However, surprisingly, Argos forgives that member and instead accuses Nick of embezzlement and expels him from the group. After several weeks of downfall, one night Nick arrives at a local tavern where he coincidentally meets three of his former teammates. After spending the whole night drinking, a bond forms between the four of them due to the betrayals they have experienced and their inability to trust others anymore. At this point, the idea of forming a four-member team is born in Nick's mind. Thus, the story begins with this team of adventurers uniting, based on their belief that humans are nothing but scoundrels and their desire to earn money in a respectable manner.
